Here at Parrock Dental in Gravesend we pride ourselves on the

trained to make nervous patients feel at ease.
One of our frequently asked questions is;
“Is there anything that can help me with my fear of the dentist?”
Yes. Some people are so frightened of the dentist that they will not go for dental treatment. They can overcome their fears with relaxation or sedation. Our dentists are sympathetic about these feelings, and you can ask our dentists about these ways to help.”
Below is a short story about one of our patients who was previously very nervous about visiting the dentist. Hear for yourself the dramatic change we can have for you….
Patricia had always feared her dental appointments due to having a bad experience as a child. Her fear was so bad that she was unable to attend her appointments unless there was someone to come with her and rated herself on the scale of 1 – 10, with 10 being completely petrified, a straight 10.One of the frequently asked questions is:
Upon booking a check-up with Dr Rik Trivedi at Parrock Dental, Patricia described Rik’s personal and dental skills as “Brilliant with a very calm approach and was completely reassuring.” After her check-up she decided to continue treatment at Parrock Street due to the confidence she felt with the Practice and Rik’s thorough step by step explanation of her treatment.
Patricia was apprehensive and nervous about having her first appointment with a new dentist but knew it was needed as she felt her teeth were in bad condition and felt very conscious when smiling. After her first visit, she felt confident enough to go ahead with treatment and would in the near future feel confident enough to attend her appointments on her own.
Once all of Patricia’s treatment was completed at Parrock Dental, Gravesend, She described her overall experience as fantastic and she finally feels confident about her smile and doesn’t have to worry about what food she can eat. The use of our DVD glasses really helped the anxiety of long appointments, so she could watch her favourite films whilst having any complex treatment.
Patricia’s words of advice to other nervous/anxious patients are “Come into the waiting room to see, as the whole experience is relaxing and welcoming”
